Former Attorney General Of Swaziland

DCS’s founder, Martin Dwamena was the former Attorney General in the Kingdom of Swaziland from 1997 to 1999. During his tenure as Attorney General, Martin was ex-officio Member of Parliament of the Kingdom of Swaziland.

Member Of The National Executive Council Of GHAPEJUSO

Martin Dwamena was nominated a member of the board of GHAPEJUSO on the 1st of January 2008.

GHAPEJUSO is a proactive rights activist organisation affiliated to the UN Commission on Human Rights (U.N. Human Rights Council). GHAPEJUSO's commitment and responsibility involves measures to promote and protect human rights and to link up to the fight for Social Justice, Economic Development, Democracy and the Rule of Law. It also has the duty to monitor with objectivity and fairness, the actions of Government and to strategically help it observe its Human Rights Obligations under national accords for human rights promotion, defence and protection, and to achieve this by peaceful means of interaction, understanding and dialogue.

Board Member of The Minerals Commission of Ghana

In September, 2001, Martin Dwamena was appointed by His Excellency the President of Ghana to a nine-member Board of the Minerals Commission of Ghana which has the responsibility for the regulation and management of the utilization of the mineral resources of Ghana and the co-ordination of the polices in relation to them.

Chairman Of The Fanteakwa District Hospital Advisory Board

On 11th May 2006 Martin Dwamena was appointed the Chairman of the Hospital Advisory Board of the Fanteakwa District Hospital at Begoro in the Eastern Region of the Republic of Ghana, built and equipped by the Government of Austria for the Government of Ghana.

Executive Chairman & CEO of USDFA Project Mobile Clinic Ghana

Martin Dwamena was nominated as the local representative of USDFA in May 2007 and appointed Executive Chairman and CEO of US Doctors For Africa (USDFA) Mobile Clinic Project in Ghana in November 2007. Initial work conducted in Ghana acted as the template for a pilot launch in Senegal. US Doctors for Africa plans to deploy two hundred mobile health clinics and two thousand medical professionals in communities throughout Sub-Saharan Africa over the next ten to fifteen years.

Commercial Experience

Martin has held various senior positions in industry. From 1961 to 1979 he served in various capacities as Company Secretary, Secretary Legal Adviser, and Secretary & Director of Administration respectively at the Cocoa Marketing Company (Ghana) Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Ghana Cocoa Marketing Board, which is responsible for marketing all Ghana cocoa, coffee and shea butter on overseas markets.
