Martin Dwamena was nominated a member of the board of GHAPEJUSO on the 1st of January 2008.
GHAPEJUSO is a proactive rights activist organisation affiliated to the UN Commission on Human Rights (U.N. Human Rights Council). GHAPEJUSO's commitment and responsibility involves measures to promote and protect human rights and to link up to the fight for Social Justice, Economic Development, Democracy and the Rule of Law. It also has the duty to monitor with objectivity and fairness, the actions of Government and to strategically help it observe its Human Rights Obligations under national accords for human rights promotion, defence and protection, and to achieve this by peaceful means of interaction, understanding and dialogue.
